Nolan Martinson, 23, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Mount Airy, died suddenly Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, in Florida.

Born June 8, 1990, in Westminster, he was the son of Laurie A. and John P. Martinson and stepson of Cindy Martinson.

He was a graduate of South Carroll High School. Before moving to Florida, he worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Springfield Hospital in Sykesville. Recently, he worked in the restaurant industry and in carpentry near his home in Orlando. He was known to be kindhearted, thoughtful and creative. He excelled in music and art and enjoyed outdoor activities, playing cribbage, riding his motorcycle and spending time with his friends.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are brothers Brady and Harris; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of a celebration of life service, 11 a.m. Thursday at Taylorsville United Methodist Church, 4356 Ridge Road, Mount Airy. A luncheon will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Adventure Diversion Program, 59 Kate Wagner Road, Westminster, MD 21157.
