Noma Pearl Haas, 96, of Westminster, died October 23, 2014 at Hanover Hospital. Born April 28, 1918 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Nelson Stanford. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles Anthony Haas, her husband of 70 years, whom she married August 24, 1941. Noma had been a cost accountant for B.H. Hubbard, retiring in 1981. She was a longtime member of Grace Lutheran Church, was an active volunteer in the Westminster Alzheimer's Support Group, an avid reader and raised violets Surviving is son and daughter-in-law Stanford G. and Mary Haas of Palm Desert, CA; daughters and son-in-law Nancy A. and Michael Luzuriaga of Taneytown and Millicent A. Hughes of Ashtabula, OH; 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Mildred Alex; great grandson Austin Tome; and by son-in-law Dennis Hughes. Services and interment will be private and held at Oaklawn Cemetery in Baltimore. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Littlest Heroes, P.O. Box 1406, Solon, OH 44139 or to the Grace Lutheran Church, 21 Carroll St., Westminster MD, 21157.
