Norman B. "Sonny" Spicer Jr., 65, of Freeland, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Towson.

Born March 21, 1948, in Baltimore County, he was the son of Norman B. Spicer Sr. and the late Lillian A. Coppersmith Spicer. He was the husband of Kathleen M. Stoffa Spicer, his wife of 27 years.

He was a self-employed carpenter, working throughout northern Baltimore County. He enjoyed NASCAR and football, and was an avid Ravens fan. He also enjoyed family gatherings.

Surviving, in addition to his father and wife, are children Kathy Jackson and husband James, of Glen Rock, Pa., and Norman J. Spicer, of Windsor; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters Betts Wallmuth, of York, Pa., and Barbara Tenne and husband Dave, of Kitty Hawk, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m. Monday at J.J. Hartenstein Mortuary, 24 N. Second St., New Freedom, Pa. Interment will be in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens in Timonium.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to York County S.P.C.A., 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
