Norman E. Brooks, 97, of Westminster, formerly of Bel Air, died Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Carroll Lutheran Village.

Born July 27, 1916, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Effie Mae Bossom Brooks and Dorsey Brooks. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth G. Brooks.

He retired from BGE after 35 years of service.

Survived by daughters and son-in-law Janet and Wayne Davis, of Kingsville, and Linda Scott, of Parkville; a sister, Alice Dunton, of Glen Burnie; grandsons Steve, David and Kevin Smith; and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Dorsey Brooks; and a sister, Anne Rosevear.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m. today at Carroll Lutheran Village, Krug Chapel, 300 St. Luke Circle, Westminster, with Chaplain Jimmie L. Schwartz officiating. Interment will follow in Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens.
