Pamela Jean Skipper, age 71 of Sykesville, died Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Carroll Hospice Dove House in Westminster. Born January 7, 1945 in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late James Alex and Erma Fay Whitehead Jenkins. She was the wife of the late Elwood Francis Skipper. She had been a school bus driver with Howard County Schools, a heavy equipment operator and dispatcher for many years. She had also been a teacher's assistant in daycare. She enjoyed ceramics and animals and had rescued many cats. Surviving are daughter Theresa Ann Watts and her companion William Hagan, daughter Deborah Bouch and her husband Bruce of Westminster, grandchildren Greg Skipper and his wife Anne, Lyle Watts Jr. and his wife Brianna, Quintin Watts and his fiance Kaelyn Crawford, Crystal Skipper and her husband Richard, and Amber Skipper and her companion Hugo Nunez, and great grandchildren Elizabeth Skipper, Kymathee Arthur and Gabriel Watts. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 1:00 PM at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville with Rev. Phil Ayers officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157 or to the Maryland ASPCA, Development Office, 3300 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD 21211.
