Patience Anna "Patsy" Wormcke, 89, of Westminster, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at home.

Born Oct. 4, 1924, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Susan Murphy Ross. She was the wife of the late Frederick Wormcke.

She was secretary to the commissioner at the Federal Trade Commission in Washington, D.C., where she spent her entire career.

She enjoyed home decorating, photography, flower gardening, arranging cut flowers, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of Gunton Temple Presbysterian Church in Washington, D.C.

Surviving are sisters Katherine "Betsy" Lewis, of Westminster, and Dorothy McAleer, of Hanover, Md.; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Susan Margaret Panek.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday; and from 10 a.m. until the time of service, 11 a.m. Monday at Myers-Durboraw Funeral Home, 91 Willis St., Westminster. Interment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park in Rockville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, 4899 Belfort Rd., Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256.
