Patricia Ann Ruggles, 76, of Manchester, passed away Thursday December 31, 2015 at the Dove House in Westminster. Born March 25, 1939 in Halethorpe, she was the daughter of the late Robert Benjamin and Violet May Tilghman Askins. She was the wife of the late Raymond Karl Ruggles, who died in 2008. She was a past member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Freedom Chapter #87 in Eldersburg. She was an active member of St. George Episcopal Church in Hampstead. She loved the Baltimore Ravens, gardening and all animals, especially her dogs. She cared for horses that were retired from the Handicapped Riding Program.. Surviving are her daughter, R. Kristie Ruggles of Hampstead; sister, Sandra K. Baker of Catonsville; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son, Raymond Karl Ruggles, Jr., daughter, Sheryl Ann Sager and brother, Robert Askins. A funeral service was held Tuesday January 5 at St. George's Episcopal Church, Hampstead with Rev. Mario Conliffe officiating. Inurnment will be in Hampstead Cemetery at a later date. Eline Funeral Home, Hampstead was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be sent to St. George's Episcopal Church, 2434 Cape Horn Road, Hampstead, MD 21074.
