Patricia Ann Otto, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at home with her family by her side. Patricia was born on April 11, 1933 to the late Austin and Catherine Joy of Emmitsburg, Maryland. She was the precious wife of George A. Otto, Jr. Surviving in addition to her husband are children: Lori and her husband Chuck Debes, George A. Otto, III and his life partner Sunny Moon, Tracy and her husband James E. Knable, Larry Sirbaugh; six grandchildren and their spouses; Joy and husband Jeff, Christen, James O. and his wife Kashmira, Patrick, Michael, Quincy; great grandson Justus. As the eldest of eight children, Patricia is survived by seven siblings: Jean, Mary Jo, Virginia, James, Vincent, Judy, and Thomas along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She is also survived by sister-in-law Barbara and husband Marvin Devilbiss, their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Patricia attended St. Agnes Hospital School of Nursing and Catonsville Community College. She practiced nursing at Carroll County Hospital for many years. She then did school nursing until retirement and remained active in the community by volunteering. She was a member of several clubs and organizations over the years. Her passions, interests, and many cherished friendships are too numerous to mention and her events and social calendar was always full. The family requests that expressions of condolences be made in the form of donations to Carroll Hospice in memory of Patricia Otto. There will be no viewing or funeral service. The family will announce a "celebration of life" at a later date.
