Patricia Anne "Pat or Peaches" Peach, age 76 of Sykesville passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends, on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at Brinton Woods Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. Born March 24, 1940 in Baltimore, MD she was the daughter of the late Charles Frederick Schmidt and Edna Maude Teal Schmidt. She was the wife of the late Carroll A. Peach who passed away May 7, 2011. Pat had been a school bus driver for many years in Carroll County. She was a lifetime member and Past President of many years of Sykesville American Legion Post #223 Auxiliary. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Community, Eldersburg and a member of Reisterstown Moose Lodge Womens Chapter 1227. Pat enjoyed playing cards, volunteering for community events, cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Her greatest love was playing Bingo. She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Terry and Ken Gartrell of Hanover, PA, Patty and Jack Manger of Sykesville, Vickie and Barry Poff of Dagsboro, DE, and Lorena and Wade Latimer of Finksburg; dear friend Terry Doyle of Westminster, sisters and brothers-in-law, Mazie Roberta and Charles Martin of Stevensville and Sharon Lee Yinger of Finksburg and grandchildren, Caitlyn Poff, Jeffrey Poff, Kyle Dixon and Breanna Manger, and great-granddaughter Kyleigh Poff. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10 am at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Relief Resources to benefit charities for the needy in Carroll County, and mailed to Terry Gartrell, 192 Panther Drive, Hanover, PA 17331.
