Paul Hugo Baschke, Sr., 95, of Westminster, died March 28, 2015 at Emeritus at Westminster. Born October 1, 1919 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late William C. and Pauline Kiel Baschke. He was the husband of the late Bernadette Sophia Baschke. He was a transportation manager for the former Western Electric, now known as AT&T. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, the Telephone Pioneers of America, The Wisdom Club and the Westminster Senior Center. He enjoyed woodworking, making toys and donating them to children's homes, as well as making Jesus signs, with his goal to have one in every country of the world. He also enjoyed Civil War history, trains, Sunday drives, and spending time with his family. Surviving him are daughter and son-in-law Debbie E. and Larry D. Lockwood of Finksburg; son Paul H. Baschke, Jr., and daughter-in-law Laura J. McCarthy, both of Florida; grandchildren Meghan B. Lockwood, Bonnie L. Nickoles, and Paul H. Baschke, III; 8 great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and nephew William C. Baschke, Jr.; brother-in-law Joseph G. France and sister-in-law Sr. Catherine Joseph France, D.C. He was predeceased by brother William C. Baschke, Sr. and by sister Margaret E. Baschke A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 12 noon at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with Fr. John Lesnick as Celebrant. Interment will follow in Moreland Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster.
