Pauline Elizabeth Fritz Boone, 84, of Westminster died Saturday, June 30, 2012, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born April 5, 1928, in Linwood, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Annie Shuey Fritz. She was the wife of Carroll E. Boone, who she married on June 28, 1947.

She graduated from New Windsor High School. She worked at Western Maryland College as a registrar in the admissions office and then as a secretary for the Board of Realtors. She retired in 1982.

She enjoyed visiting and talking on the phone with family and friends. She was an active member of The Church of the Open Door in Super Sixties and Royal Blue Sunday School. She enjoyed dining out and traveling the country roads with her husband.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are son Jeffrey L. Boone, of Mount Airy; brothers Sterling Fritz, of Taneytown; Earl Fritz and wife Libby, of Union Bridge; and Melvin Fritz and wife Dottie of Uniontown; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by sister Catherine Feeser; brother Preston Fritz; and sister-in-laws and brother-in-law Catherine Fritz, Helen Fritz and Monroe Feeser.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Pritts Funeral Home, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home -- use the chapel entrance -- with the the Revs. Norris Belcher and John Campbell officiating. Interment will be at Westminster Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to The Church of the Open Door, 550 Baltimore Boulevard, Westminster, MD 21157.
