Pauline L. (Monath) Wentz, 93 of Manchester, MD, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Carroll Hospital Center. She was the loving wife of the late Clair W. Wentz, who passed away February 5, 1982. Born August 7, 1922 in Manchester, MD, she was a daughter of the late Clinton W. and Myrna G. (LeGore) Monath. Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother; she cherished spending time with her family, watching the birds and doing jigsaw puzzles. She also worked for Random House in Westminster, Woolworth's in Hanover, and served her community as a Sunday School teacher at St. David's United Church of Christ where she was a longtime member of 79 years. Pauline is survived by six children, five sons, Gene M. Wentz of College Park, MD, Philip C. Wentz of New Oxford, Guy C. Wentz of Manchester, MD, Lewis D. Wentz and his wife Elizabeth of Hanover, Clinton J. Wentz and his friend Nancy Lynch of Manchester, MD, one daughter, Karen M. Frock and her husband David of Hanover; a brother James L. Monath and his wife Nancy of Westminster, MD; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Pauline was preceded in death by a son, Floyd C. Wentz, and an infant sister. A time to share memories with the family and an opportunity to view will be on Friday, June 10, 2016 from 1 p.m. until the time of service, at 2 p.m. at St. David's United Church of Christ, 142 Hobart Rd., Hanover, PA, with Rev. Scott A. Sager officiating. Burial will be in St. David's Cemetery, Hanover. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Pauline's memory to St. David's United Church of Christ at the address listed above.
