Pearl Beatrice Fulton, age 95, of Carroll Lutheran Village, died on September 7, 2017. Born on March 28, 1922 in Marion Wisconsin, Pearl was the daughter of Ed and Esther Bertram. She was the widow of Wilbur Fulton. Pearl was a member of Westminster United Methodist Church. She was a 1943 graduate of Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet, Illinois. She was a registered nurse and nurse anesthetist. Pearl enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting and sculpting. She made and taught pine needle basket weaving and she enjoyed bridge, walks and rich conversations with her good friends. Pearl rose very early every day to meditate. She was determined, independent and funny. She cared for others and was humbled by the love and assistance of friends and, sometimes, even strangers. Survivors include her daughter, Mary Fulton of Albuquerque, New Mexico and long-time friend, Jimmy Fiegler; son, Paul Fulton, and daughter-in-law, Lisa Breslin of Westminster. Pearl knew the love of her grandchildren Ryan Fulton Quintero and her husband, Gustavo of Wake Forest, NC; Colleen Fulton Shaefer and her husband, Gil of Baltimore; and Killian Serrano and her wife, Andrea of Long Beach, CA. Survivors also include great grandchildren Aiden and Ella Quintero and Penny Shaefer. Her body has been donated to science. A memorial service and a celebration of her incredible life will unfold at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Carroll Hospice; Carroll LutheranVillage Resident Assistant Fund; Westminster United Methodist Church's Soup Kitchen.
