Pearl Delores Waltz Yingling, 83, of Westminster, died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2013, at Sunflower Hill Assisted Living.

Born April 11, 1930, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late John Lewis and Edna Lindsay Waltz. She was the wife of James Bernard Yingling, her husband of 60 years, who died March 31, 2009.

She was the co-proprietor, with her husband, of Jim's Superette in Union Mills for 10 years. She had worked outside the home in various capacities until her children were born.

She was a member of St. Mary's United Church of Christ in Silver Run where she had been a Sunday school superintendent and sang in the church choir for many years. She enjoyed vacationing at the Jersey shore and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving are sons and daughter-in-law Steven C. and Ann Yingling, Kevin D. Yingling, and James L. Yingling and companion Dawn Unkart, all of Westminster; daughters and sons-in-law Belinda Y. and Carl von Gunten, of Westminster, and Pam A. and Greg Knutson, of Camp Hill, Pa.; a sister, Janice Morgret, of Hanover, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by siblings William Waltz, Virginia Smith, Agatha Cashman, Ruth Smith and Reba Halter.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's United Church of Christ, 1441 E. Mayberry Road, Silver Run, with the Rev. Pat Barth officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
