Peter V. Anania, age 89 of Ellicott City, died Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at Encore at Turf Valley. Born June 14, 1928 in Kulpmont, PA, he was the son of the late Pietro Raphael Anania and the late Mary Krolick Anania. He was the husband of Nancy Lee Anania of Ellicott City, his wife of nearly 63 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served at the end of WWII. An Electrical Engineer by trade, he spent many years designing and constructing several of the metro rail systems thought the United States. He was an avid reader and traveler and more than anything enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Surviving in addition to his wife are sons Peter Anania, Jr., David Anania and his wife Barbara, and Andrew Anania, brother Raymond Anania, sister Evelyn Sonsini, grandchildren Elizabeth Anania, Ashen Anania, Robin Harlan, and Tara Anania, and great grandchildren Dayja, Lily, Ella, Chloe, and Destiny. He was predeceased by his son, Thomas Anania. Services and interment will be private.
