R. Jane Reck, 71, of Westminster, died Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the Carroll Hospital. Born Feb. 27, 1945 in Hanover, PA, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn Lorraine Hankle Myers and George E. Myers. She was the loving wife of James L. "Jim" Reck, her husband of 50 years. She was employed with Reck Real Estate. She was a 1963 graduate of Westminster High School and also attended Western Maryland College. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Glade Valley Golf Club, the Westminster Choral Society and the Junior Women's Club. She enjoyed reading, playing golf and tennis and watching her grandchildren play sports. Besides her husband, she is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Amy and Chris Budzynski of Westminster and Karen and Todd Stiffler of New Freedom, PA, a sister Jill A. Myers of Owings Mills, grandchildren Nicholas and Will Budzynski, Daniel, Emma, Megan and Rachel Stiffler and grand dogs Tilly and Lucy. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 17 Bond St., Westminster with her pastor, Rev. Marty Kuchma officiating. Inurnment will be private at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services. Memorial contributions may be made to the at www.alz.org or the at www.cancer.org.
