Ralph L. Rothrock, age 91, of Harrisburg, Pa. and formerly of Westminster, Md. went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2015. Born in Quakertown, Pa. he was the son of the late Allen and Florence Rothrock. He was predeceased by his wife of 61 years, Marguerite Rothrock, in 2011. Ralph graduated from Quakertown High School and Temple University and had a career in personnel management including owner of the former Carroll County Personnel Services. A World War II veteran, he served in the US Navy and US Navy Reserve. Ralph was a past member of the VFW, Harrisburg Area Personnel Association, Lutheran Brotherhood and Thyroid Cancer Survivors Association. He volunteered for the Multiple Sclerosis Association, Food Pantry, and Bethesda Mission. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, reading, walking, practical jokes and sharing Navy stories. He is survived by two daughters, Bonnie Shuss (wife of Alan) of Lancaster, Pa. and Linda Kelly of Harrisburg, Pa.; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by a son, Stephen Rothrock, sisters Velma Swartz and Ruth Deiley, and a brother Glenn Rothrock. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, June 19, 2015 at St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4200 Londonderry Road, Harrisburg, with The Rev. James E. Person officiating. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice for all Seasons, 280 South Hill Drive, Grantville, PA 17028. The Hetrick-Bitner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
