Ray B. Arrington, 72, of Westminster, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Carroll Hospital Center.

Born March 25, 1941, in Baltimore, he was the son of Bernetta Manahan Arrington, of Taneytown, and the late Herman Martin Arrington. He was the husband of Esther Ranoull Arrington, his wife of 51 years.

He graduated from Taneytown High School in 1959. Before retiring, he worked 44 years as a truck driver for Babylon Vault Co. He was a member of the Taneytown FFA and a 4-H member.

He enjoyed ancestry, bird-watching and growing tomato plants.

Surviving, in addition to his mother and wife, are daughter and son-in-law Teresa A. and Arthur C. Ridinger, of Taneytown; son and daughter-in-law Melvin R. and Melanie C. Arrington, of Taneytown; grandchildren Jason Ridinger and wife Brooke, of Middletown, Amy Vargas and husband Darvin, Kevin Ridinger and wife Sandy, Kayla Arrington and fiance Justin Carr, and Ryan Arrington, all of Taneytown; a great-granddaughter Hope Ridinger, of Taneytown; and numerous cousins.

Friends may call from 12:30 p.m. until the time of funeral service, 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster, with the Rev. Andrew Reisberg, of Frizzelburg Bible Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Meadow Branch Cemetery.
