Ray Stephen Marine, 59, of Westminster, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at University of Maryland Hospital.

Born Sept. 28, 1953, in New York, he was the son of the late Michael and Marina Armstroff Marine. He was the husband of Mary Ellen James Marine.

He was a telephone technician for the Community Colleges of Baltimore County. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1393 and Color Guard and was a Sentinel for the Cardinal Gibbons Assembly.

He enjoyed being in nature, birdwatching, cooking and following the Ravens.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are brother, Charles M. Marine, of Havre de Grace; sister Linda McCannon and husband Randy, of Aberdeen; and many other extended family members.

He was predeceased by a brother, Glenn Richard Marine.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Pritts Funeral Home & Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster. There will be a Christian Wake service Monday evening.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster. with the Rev. Jaime Garcia officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Knights of Columbus Council 1393, P.O. Box 482, Westminster, MD 21158.
