Raymond Charles Becker, 81, of Westminster, died Monday, December 15, 2014 at his home. Born on September 16, 1933 in Westminster, he was the son of the late Allen and Helen Feeser Becker. He was the husband of the late Eileen Laverne Esworthy Becker, who predeceased him on July 4, 1994. He served in the Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a farmer and later worked as a security guard for Reisterstown Lumber Co. and Carroll Lutheran Village. He was a member of the American Legion, Carroll Post 31. He was an avid reader, collected eagles and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Surviving are children and spouses, Sylvia and Paul Swope of Thurmont, Danny and Vicky Becker of Littlestown, PA, Kathy and Larry Yingling of Union Bridge and Mike Becker of Union Bridge. Also survived by 2 sisters and a brother, 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by 11 siblings. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm at the PRITTS FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. A funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Art Monroe, Jr. officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg.
