Raymond Douglas Ingman, 66 of Carney passed away August 4, 2016 at the home of his devoted sister Ruth E. Ingman of Hampstead. He was the son of the late Evelyn C. & Raymond H, Ingman. As a child, he was stricken with Perthes Disease. Ray spent 8 years on crutches while attending the William S. Bear School for the disabled. He later graduated from Parkville Sr. High School, Class of 1968. After graduation he went to work directly for Standard Composition on East Lombard St., where he was a typesetter & proofreader. Ray was a member of St Michaels & All Angels in Baltimore where he sang in the Men & Boys Choir. Besides being a wonderful singer, Ray played the piano & loved the organ. Ray loved his boat, cars, cooking & baking. He also did stock car racing & traveled all over the United States. Ray enjoyed his job at Towson University, where he was Lead Maintenance Mechanic until his stroke in 2011.He was the first honorary life member of Towson Post 22 S.A.L. & A.L.R., where he was a past commander, chaplain, delegate, custodian, bartender, bingo caller, Santa, etcetera. He was a devoted uncle & the best father figure to: Lyndsey C. Phillips, Jeffrey R. Phillips and his wife Mandi, Rebecca A. Steinbach and her husband Nick, Cherlyn R. Warne and her fiance Jason; beloved great uncle to: Lillith, Luke, Olivia, Samuel, Ethan, Alex, Gavin, Ryan & Zachary; and dear & faithful friend to John Dearmy. A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Eline Funeral Home - 934 South Main Street, Hampstead, MD. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 11:00 am. Interment will be private
