Richard Eugene "Rick" Conley, 56, of Union Bridge, died October 21, 2014 at the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Born April 8, 1958 in Baltimore, he was the son of Helen Shifflett Bracken of Westminster and the late Kemper Conley. He was the husband of Susan Harris Conley and he was the step-son of Edward Bracken. Rick was a car salesman for Keene Dodge in Jarrettsville and for Jarboe Motors in Westminster. He enjoyed watching and participating in boxing, watching old movies, especially Westerns, country music and singing. He was known as the "Life of the Party" and enjoyed making people laugh. Surviving in addition to his wife, mother and step-father are children Christopher Conley and girlfriend Bridget Pickett of Union Bridge, Jackie Conley and fiance' Tyler Baylin of Westminster, Cheyenne Conley of Union Bridge; step-children Amanda Bryson and Ashley Golden of Pennsylvania; siblings Doris Seiler and husband Donald of Westminster, Joie DeBold and husband Gary of Westminster, and Bruce Conley of Westminster; grandchildren Sophia and Jacey Conley, Angelynn, Wyatt, Zoey and Aidan; son-in-law of Charlotte Smith and Charles Harris, Sr. He was predeceased by brothers Charles, Thomas and James Conley. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 1 pm at the Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster. Officiating will be Rev. David Carter-Rimbach of Zion United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Zion Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 am until the start of the services. Online condolences may be made at www.prittsfuneralhome.com.
