Virginia Beach - Richard Eugene Airing, Dick, 72, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on March 10, 2015. Dick was born in Hanover, PA, the son of the late William F. Airing and Ruth Anna Airing of Barefoot Bay, FL who survives him. He was born in the same hospital, during the same week as, grew up with, and later married his high school sweetheart from Taneytown, Maryland, Barbara Rinehart Airing, his wife of 50 years. He served with the United States Navy for four years prior to attending the University of Baltimore, which he graduated from with a B.S. in Accounting. He was a Certified Public Accountant and spent his career working in public accounting, finance jobs with several real estate firms and as a mortgage loan officer. He was a member of Trinity Church and actively participated in the Men's bible study for many years. He loved nice cars, enjoyed skiing and playing golf. He will be remembered as a very caring, funny, compassionate, generous and loving husband, father, and friend. His life was an inspiration to many who were close to him as has been the constant care and dedication of his loving wife. He is also survived by two children, Bradley T. Airing and his wife Carolyn of Charlotte, NC, and Susan A. Harris and her husband Michael of Virginia Beach, VA, along with his five grandchildren, David, Sarah, Benjamin, Laura and Katherine, and by two siblings, Ronald W. Airing of Gresham, OR and Ruth Etta Airing of Barefoot Bay, FL. A Memorial service celebrating Dick's life will be held at Trinity Church, which meets at First Baptist Church of Virginia Beach, 401 35th Street, Virginia Beach, VA 23451, Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 3:00 PM.
