Richard K. Anderson, Sr., 75, of Westminster, MD passed away on March, 26, 2017 at the Dove House. He was born in Webster City, Iowa on July 27, 1941 to the late William and June Anderson and brother to three sisters, Jo Jones, Sue Schulke and Mary Parker. He was the most devoted and loving husband to Mellissa Anderson for 54 years and the most amazing father to Lissa Grill, Rick Anderson, Jim Anderson and Christine Anderson. He was so loved by his seven grandchildren, Jake, Erin, Matt, Sarah, Reagan, Rigeley and Griffin, as well as Warren, Jennifer, Kristie and Eric who loved him as a second father. He was so loved by his nieces, nephews, in-laws, and all his many friends he made everywhere he went. He had been retired for many years but worked at Baltimore Aircoil Company for over 30 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. The most important thing in his life was his family. He loved to watch all his grandchildren's games and walking the neighborhood, talking to everyone he would meet. He loved to go fishing, watching westerns and hated to miss his favorite game shows. He will be missed more than you can imagine. The family will receive friends and family at Haight Funeral Home and Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD, 21784 on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.
