Richard K. Pliszak, age 53, of Mt. Airy, MD, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015. He was born August 11, 1961 in Brooklyn, New York, the Loving son of Ronny Wilczynski Pliszak of Patchogue, NY. and the late Walerian Pliszak. He was a dedicated and respected employee of ABC News for 31 years. He started his career in New York City with the Political Unit. He has been in the Washington Bureau since 1994. His contributions to the company were immeasurable. He had a great mutual respect for all of his colleagues & coworkers. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was the beloved husband of Irene Egana Pliszak of Mt. Airy. He was the proud and devoted father of Kevin Alexander, Christopher James, and Amanda Helen. He is the dear brother of Ronald Pliszak and wife Catherine of Patchogue, NY, and of Steven Pliszak and wife Heather of Patchogue, NY. Adored by all of his six sister-in-laws Christine, Elaine, Louise, Valerie, Marjorie, and Stephanie and loving uncle to 17 nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Grandparents Babci Frieda Wilczynski and Dziadzi Alexander Wilczynski Friends may call at the Burrier-Queen Funeral Home & Crematory, PA., 1212 W. Old Liberty Road, Winfield (Beside South Carroll High School) on Saturday from 7-9 PM and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM; with Wake Service at 8:30PM on Sunday ; Funeral Liturgy (MASS) will be held Monday, August 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 9190 Church Street, Union Bridge, MD 21701 with Fr.
