Richard A. "Porky" Leonard, 81, of Finksburg, died Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at his residence. Born May 20, 1934 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Alice Hoffstetter Leonard and Edward Leonard. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Margaret Leonard. Before retiring he worked 34 years as a supervisor for Baltimore County Public Schools and previously worked for Schmidt Motors in Randallstown. He enjoyed horse races, camping, crabbing, fishing, playing softball and golf and was a Ford enthusiast. In addition to his wife, he is survived by children Cheryl J. (Leonard) Collins, Richard Leonard, Jr., Jeffrey Leonard, Lora (Leonard) Wean, and Leslie Leonard Jenkens, and a sister Mildred Leonard Riceberg. Also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter Deana L. Leonard, brothers Mickey, Donald and Edward Long and grandsons Adam and David Wean. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Gamber. Memorial contributions may be made to at www.alz.org.
