Richard "Mike" Michael Ridgell, 52, of Westminster, died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, from a fatal gunshot wound while working security at the Washington Navy Yard.

He was the son of Shirley and Dick Ridgell, of Lewes, Del.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are daughters Megan and Madison Ridgell, and their mother, Tracey Lyons Ridgell, of Westminster; daughter Heather Ridgell Hunt and husband Justin, of Martinsburg, W.Va; her mother, Linda Feather Grove, of Middletown; a grandmother, Juanita Ware, of Lewes; and a brother, Todd Ridgell, of Brooklyn Park.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, 1 2nd Ave. SW, Glen Burnie.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at The Church at Severn Run, 8187 Telegraph Road, Severn.
