Richard Provencher 33 passed away peacefully at his Olney MD home Monday October 27th 2014 surrounded in love by his wife Meredith Gill Provencher and two young sons Brayden and Clayton. He is survived by his parents Carl and Carolyn Provencher, brother Christopher, grandparents Roger Provencher and Phyllis Murray as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and a niece. While at Oakton VA high school, he represented Fairfax County for three years at the State meet as a hurdler. He was master fly fisherman as well as an avid soccer player, professional referee and passionate fan. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from James Madison University, he was a CPA and a Senior Manager with Deloitte in the Washington DC area as well as for two years on assignment in Greece. Richard was an active supporter of the Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation, serving for six months as its Chief Operating Officer while on a Sabbatical from Deloitte. The viewing will be on October 30th at 6:00-8:00pm at Barber Funeral Home in Laytonsville MD. Services will be on October 31st at 11:00am at St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, 4101 Norbeck Road, Aspen Hill MD 20853.
