Richard (Bud) Ellsworth Talbert, 77, formerly of Westminster, passed away Saturday, February 14, 2015 at Lorien Taneytown from chronic illnesses. Born May 6, 1937, he was the son of the late James Nathan and Eliza Isadore Grimm Talbert, of Hampstead. After graduating from Hampstead School, he served in the United States Air Force until 1964. Bud was mainly employed as a bookkeeper for various companies until retiring. After his retirement, he resided in FL and NC, then he returned to Carroll County. Bud is fondly remembered for his gift of laughter and practical jokes. He spent most of his time reading, painting, listening to classical music, and above all helping others, especially family, close friends, and neighbors. He was loved by everyone whose life he touched. Surviving are sisters Roseanna Strevig, Hanover, PA, and Wenona Sirk, Westminster; brother-in-law Charles Cooper, Westminster; sister-in-law Joan Talbert, NC; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters June Evelyn Talbert, Florence Lucille Cooper; brother James Nathan Talbert, Jr; brothers-in-laws Russell Strevig and James Sirk; nephew Donny Strevig; niece Joan Strevig McConnell; and great nephew Justin Tipton. Per Bud's request, there will be no viewing or service. He wished his body to be donated to science. He has requested that you consider a donation to .
