Richard G. Taylor, 53, of Westminster, MD, passed away peacefully at the Carroll Hospice Dove House, Wednesday, August 10, 2016. Born April 8, 1963 in Olney, MD, he was the son and step-son of Marie and Sam Pannuty of Martinsburg, WV, and the late Leo L. Taylor who died on June 6, 2005. He was the beloved husband of Teri A. Taylor, his wife of 28 years. Rick was a carpenter for over 30 years. He enjoyed being outdoors every day, building new homes or renovating older ones, tinkering on cars in his garage, and working around the yard. He also enjoyed fishing. He was an avid fan of the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Redskins, and the Washington Capitals. Surviving in addition to his wife, mother and step-father, are a son, Christopher Taylor of Norfolk, VA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy and Jim Tregoning of Falling Waters, WV, and Sharon and John Jones of Frederick, MD; nieces, Stephanie Bogadi and Christina Tregoning; nephews, David Johnson and Ronnie Jones. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at the MYERS-DURBORAW FUNERAL HOME, 91 Willis St., Westminster with funeral celebrant John C. Morrill officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service on Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center, 22 South Greene St., Baltimore, MD 21201 or to the Carroll Hospice Dove House, 292 Stoner Ave., Westminster, MD 21157.
