Ricky L. Clabaugh, 53, of Fenton, Mo., died Friday, July 6, 2012, at home, after a long-term illness with ALS.

Born Dec. 22, 1958, in Gettysburg, Pa., he was the son of Sonja Clabaugh, of Taneytown and the late Lorraine M. Clabaugh.

He had served in the Army. He enjoyed working as a mechanic, NASCAR and had many other hobbies.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are Charlene Nash and husband Jeremy, of Jacksonville, Fla., Stacey Newton and husband Robert, of Hampton, Va., Lisa Carwell and husband Josh, of Poquoson, Va., and Kristine Clabaugh, of Norfolk, Va.; grandchildren Johnny Nash, Hunter Newton, and Grayson Carwell; sisters Debora Reckley, of Thurmont, Linda Cooper, of Aspers, Pa., and Karen Thurley, of Cross Junction, Va.; a brother, Charles Clabaugh, of Littlestown, Pa.; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was predeceased by grandparents Kermit and Catherine Reid, and Melvin and Mildred Clabaugh; a nephew, Erik W. Hayes; and nieces Olivia Clabaugh and Brook Leland.
