Robert Arnold Belschner, 86, of Upperco, formerly of Hampden, died Monday, April 1, 2013, at Stella Maris Hospice in Timonium.

Born May 26, 1926, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Clarence LeRoy and Margaret Ruth Arnold Belschner. He was the husband of Hazel Virginia Belschner.

He had worked with his father's company, Roy Belschner & Sons, as a floor layer and finisher. Later, he worked for 15 years with the state of Maryland in general services. He enjoyed working with his hands.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are daughters Roxanne Wright, of Great Falls, Mont., and Diane Rabenau, of Upperco; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Clarence L. "Mike" Belschner Jr.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday at Grace Cemetery, on Falls Road near Butler, with the Rev. Denise Millett officiating.
