On September 16, 2016, Robert Anthony Carneval Sr., age 90 of Sykesville, born December 13, 1925 in Erie, PA, dear son of the late Dominic and Anntoinette Carneval, beloved husband of Virginia Rose (nee Testi) Carneval, devoted father of four, Diane McCauley and husband Mike of Knoxville, TN, Sherri Carneval Reaver and her husband Lacy of Sykesville, Liz Colfelt and husband Dave of Westminster, and Bob Carneval and his wife Teresa of Sykesville, survived by 10 grandchildren Greg, Jill, Megan, Jonathan, Melissa, Adam, David, Kristen, Scott and Katie and predeceased by grandchildren Brian and Matthew; also survived by 14 great grandchildren, 3 brothers Daniel, John and James, all of Erie, PA, and sister Joanne King of Arizona. Robert had served for 2 years with the U.S. Army Air Force during WWII as a gunner on a B17 bomber. He had been a district manager for 25 years with Baltimore Life Insurance. He started his own insurance company, Freedom Insurance Agency and worked until he was 86. He enjoyed golfing, yardwork, and cooking. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 19, 2016 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville where funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM. Entombment in Lake View Memorial Park Mausoleum, Sykesville. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Charcot-Marie Tooth Association, P.O. Box 105, Glenolden, PA 19036.
