Robert B. O'Brien, 87, of Hanover, Pa., died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at home.

Born June 11, 1925, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Walter Joseph O'Brien and Mary Alice Ely O'Brien. He was the husband of Mary W. Fritts O'Brien.

He had served in the Marine Corps in the South Pacific during World War II from 1943 until 1946. He was a letter carrier and supervisor for the United States Postal Service in Randallstown and retired in 1982. He enjoyed traveling with his mobile home.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children Sharon A. Rozelle and Cindy M. Bryson; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Walter J. O'Brien.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Living Hope Baptist Church, 14450 Hanover Pike, Reisterstown, with Pastor Dr. David LeBlanc officiating. Inurnment will be private.
