Robert "Bob" Grim, 72, of Sykesville, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, at Seasons Hospice at Northwest in Randallstown.

Born Oct. 25, 1940, in Elk View, W.Va., he was the son of the late Homer Newton Grim and Thelma Virginia Cunningham Grim. He was the husband of Sharon A. Cunningham Grim.

He retired after 30 years with IBM. He was an active member of St. James United Methodist Church in West Friendship, and enjoyed time with his family. He liked woodworking and was a jack of all trades. He volunteered with CAMP HOPE for 26 years and served as a team leader for high school youth to do home repair, as well as serving as a board member and summer staff member.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Melissa Grim, of Sykesville; son and daughter-in-law Michael and Angie Grim, of Sykesville; and a granddaughter, Katie Grim.

Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

Visitation will also be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service, noon Saturday at St. James United Methodist Church, Md. 99 and Md. 32, in West Friendship. Interment will be in Mount View Cemetery in Marriottsville.
