Robert "Bob" Harold Bennett, 66, of Westminster, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday, October 21, 2014. Born November 26, 1947 in Tazewell, VA; he was the son of the late Harold D. and Evelyn M. Bennett. He was the husband of Wanda Bennett. Robert was a plumber and had retired from Naylor Plumbing. He enjoyed Westerns, working in his shop, gardening and spending time in the outdoors. Surviving in addition to his wife are son and daughter-in-law Robert and Megan Bennett Jr.; daughters and sons-in-law Sheri and Troy Karan, Robin and Charles Racey, April and Dan Staton; step-sons Travis and Roland Yelton; grandchildren Brianna, Conner and Kara Bennett, Lyndsay O'Neill and husband Matt, Jeremy Karan, Adrian Burns, Noah and Brieanna Racey and Ashley Staton; great-granddaugher Harper O'Neill; siblings and spouses Martha and Owen Pohlhaus, James and Lisa Bennett, Larry Bennett, David Bennett, Rose and Rob Wymer; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Jerry Bennett. Funeral services will be held on Friday at High Noon at the PRITTS FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 412 Washington Rd., Westminster, with Rev. William Rumbaugh officiating. Entombment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. There will be no public visitation. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Boys and Girls Club of Westminster, 25 Union St., Westminster MD 21157 or St. Judes Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis TN 38101.
