Robert N. "Bob" Ridgell, 85, of Westminster, died Sunday, May 10, 2015, at Brightwell Mays Chapel Ridge in Timonium. Born March 19, 1930 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Hazel Barnes Ridgell and Edward C. Ridgell. Survived by his wife of 66 years, Betty L. Ridgell. Before retiring, he worked as a sales rep for Rental Uniform. Bob loved working, so after retiring he worked at Wakefield Valley Golf Course and Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services. He was a member of Westminster United Methodist Church where he enjoyed working in the soup kitchen and being a greeter. He was a 50 year member of the Palestine Masonic Lodge, Tall Cedars and Shriners and enjoyed golfing. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law Barbara Laverdiere and Ken Hines of Timonium. He was predeceased by a brother Edward C. Ridgell, Jr. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 E. Main St., Westminster, with Pastor Shari McCourt officiating. Entombment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Westminster United Methodist Church, 162 E. Main St., Westminster, MD 21157 or Gilchrist Hospice Care, 11311 McCormick Road, Ste. 350, Hunt Valley, MD 21031.
