Robert Anthony Riggie, Sr., 64 of Hanover, passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at home. Born June 10, 1953 in Baltimore, MD, he was a son of the late Richard Theodore, Sr. and Ellen Marie (Carlisle) Riggie. Robert was a loving brother, and father; he enjoyed shooting pool, cooking, enjoyed snowmobileing, and loved his dog, Buddy. Robert lived at Deep Creek Lake for nine years and loved the time he spent there. Robert is survived by two children, a son, Robert Anthony Riggie, Jr. and his wife Robin Renee of Bel Air, MD, a daughter, Jessica Marie Riggie and her fiancé Frank Martin of Severn, MD; two granddaughters, Bailey Lynn Riggie and Emery Bea Martin; five sisters, Ellen Marie "Klu" Riggie of Hanover, PA, Wanda M. Riggie of Hanover, PA, Mary Lou Dimler and her husband David of New Windsor, MD, Patricia Andrews and her husband Craig of Westminster, MD, and Linda Riggie Jackson of Ellicott City, MD. Robert is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, Richard Theodore, Jr., and Gregory Mansfield Riggie, and a brother-in-law, Chester E. Jackson. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held privately at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville, MD. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SpiriTrust Lutheran Home Care and Hospice, or to the , 924 N. Colonial Ave. York PA 17403.
