Robert Sako Haines Sr., 48, of Sykesville, died Friday, July 20, 2012, at his home.

Born March 11, 1964, in Baltimore, he was the son of Barbara Jean Shipe Enochs and her husband, Joseph, of Como, N.C., and Donald Wesley Haines and his wife Pat, of Manchester. He was the husband of Robin Jenkins Miller, of Sykesville.

He worked in demolition, construction, painting and as a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed football, horseshoes, NASCAR, camping, hunting and fishing.

Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are sons Robert S. Haines Jr., of Manchester, and Bryan Miller, of Sykesville; grandmother Kathryn "Granny" Shipe, of Owings Mills; twin brother and sister-in-law Howard Wako and Liz Haines, of Finksburg; brothers and sisters-in-law Gary Haines, of Sykesville; Donnie and Paula Haines, of Westminster; and Joey and Heather Enochs, of Reisterstown; sisters and brothers-in-law Barbara Sharp, of Fla.; Darlene and Ed Basta, of Lineboro; and Diane and Jim Tyler, of Finksburg; mother and father-in-law Joan and Tom Holden, of Sykesville; nieces Brooke and Jade Grubbs, of Sykesville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park.
