Robert Darrell Taylor, 81, of Westminster, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Born July 17, 1933 in Woodbine, he was the son of the late Rose and Helen Taylor and Clifford C. Taylor. Survived by his wife of 12 years, Barbara J. Taylor. He worked 18 years for BGE in Westport before he and his first wife established Taylors Outdoor Power Equipment, Inc. in 1975. He was a veteran of the Air Force, member of Door to Virtue Masonic Lodge No. 46 A.F & A.M., VFW Molleville Post No. 467 and American Legion Carroll Post No. 31. He loved airplanes. In addition to his wife, he is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Byron and Regina Taylor of Westminster, daughters Suzanne Taylor of Virginia and Sharon Taylor of Frederick, step-children Gene Hoffman of Westminster and Lisa Hoffman of Reisterstown, a brother Francis Taylor, grandchildren Scott Taylor, Gregory and Stephanie Little, step-grandchildren Jocelyn and Devon and great-step grandchildren Karen and Trinity. He was predeceased by his first wife of 45 years, Anna Jane Taylor. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 22, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster where a Masonic Memorial Service and military honors will be held at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Door to Virtue Masonic Lodge No. 46, 46 Monroe St., Westminster, MD 21157.
