Rodney James Williams Jr., 46, of Westminster, died unexpectedly Friday, June 20, 2014.

Born March 4, 1968, in Baltimore, he was the son of Rodney James Williams Sr. and Gerri Monczewski Williams, of Millsboro, Delaware. He was the husband of Lynn Klingensmith Williams.

He was a school counselor at Glenelg High School in Glenelg. He enjoyed cycle cross, and coaching football, wrestling, field hockey, allied soccer and lacrosse. He especially enjoyed time with his daughters.

Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are daughters Allison Mae Williams and Sydney Elizabeth Williams, both of Westminster; sister and brother-in-law Rochelle and Michael Collins, of Glen Burnie; a mother-in-law, Susan Klingensmith, of Baltimore; sisters-in-law Joan Price and Ann Klingensmith; nieces Brielle and Emma; and a nephew, Brandon.

He was predeceased by his father-in-law, Ernest Klingensmith.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at McDaniel College, Baker Memorial Chapel, 2 College Hill, Westminster. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Education Fund for Rod Williams' Children, c/o New Windsor State Bank, 181 E. Main St., Westminster, MD 21157.

Arrangements are being handled by Haight Funeral Home & Chapel in Sykesville.
