Rodney Neil Hidey, 46, of Westminster, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at home.

Born April 23, 1967, in Baltimore, he was the son of John Walter Hidey Sr. and Ann Norwood Hidey. He was the husband of Linda L. Smith Hidey.

He was the owner and president of Hidey's Landscape Supply Yard and has been in business since 1988.

He enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends at Deep Creek Lake, enjoying water sports and campfires. Other special times were spent four wheeling with his children, traveling across the country with his family, and snow skiing. He actively attended LifePoint Church.

Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are children Olivia, Neil and Gabriel Hidey; brother and sisters Jane Hidey, Nancy Kelly, Judy Longmire, John Hidey and Robin Elza; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call from 5 p.m. until the Celebration of Life service, 7 p.m. Monday at LifePoint Church, 1701 Emory Road, Reisterstown, with the Rev. Dave Baldwin officiating. Interment will be private.
