Ronald Edward Miles Jr., 48, of Westminster, died Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born July 29, 1965, at Montgomery General Hospital in Olney, he was the son of Ruth Galmore, of Columbia, and Ronald E. Miles Sr. and wife Elaine, of Finksburg. He was the husband of Reather E. Miles, his wife of 19 years.

He was a 1983 graduate of Glenelg High School. He served in the Army from 1983 to 1986. He worked in concrete construction. He was an avid Ravens fan and especially enjoyed time with his family.

Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are daughter and son-in-law Natasha and Brandon Costley, of Westminster; a son, Ronald E. "Bucky" Miles III, of Westminster; siblings Rodney Miles, of Westminster, Sharon Scott, of Catonsville, Aaron Nelson and wife Amanda, and Amber Lyles, all of Columbia, Jason Ruch and Jaklin Ruch, both of Eldersburg, and Christina Miles, of Finksburg; grandchildren Jordan and Jameson Costley, both of Westminster; a surrogate grandmother, Helena Gaither; aunts and uncles Earl and Sarah Bell, Chester and Gertrude Bell, Margo Bell, Phyliss Bell, Patsy and Stephen Miles, Darlene Bright, Rhonda and Anthony Miles, Cynthia Galmore and Mr. Billy, James Galmore, David Galmore and Cissy Rollins, all of Maryland; nieces and nephews Nate, Aaron, Noire, Eric Jr., Kaylee, Kara, Kendra, Olivia and Ava, all of Maryland; and a host of cousins in-laws and friends.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Jordan C. Miles.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Pritts Funeral Home, 412 Washington Road, Westminster; and from 10 a.m. until time of service, 11 a.m. Monday at Westminster United Methodist Church, 165 E. Main St., Westminster, with his pastor, the Rev. Edwin C. Smith, officiating. Interment will be in Bushy Park Community Cemetery.
