Ronald Joseph Weaver, 76, of Westminster, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Carroll Hospice's Dove House.

Born April 11, 1936, in Westminster, he was the son of the late Dale E. and Laura Mitten Weaver. He was the husband of Nancy Leister Weaver, his wife of 58 years.

He was retired from the military, having spent more than 40 years with the Marine Corps and the Army.

He was a member of the St. John Catholic Church in Westminster. He was a life member of the VFW Molleville Farm Post 467, American Legion Carroll Post No. 31, Littlestown Eagles Aerie 2226, Moose Lodge No. 1381, Mayberry Game Protection Association, the Military Officer Association and USAA.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are sons and daughter-in-law Randy and Sharon Weaver, of Taneytown, and Jeffrey A. Weaver, of Westminster; brothers Terrance Weaver, of Deltona, Fla., Michael Weaver, of Hedgesville, W.Va., Dale and Joe Weaver, both of Westminster, and Richard Weaver, of Taneytown; a sister, Diane Stuller, of New Windsor; grandchildren Kelly, Jeffery Jr., Daniel and Heather; great-grandchildren Josh, Ethan and Christy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by children Sondra J. Weaver and Timothy D. Weaver; and a granddaughter, Valerie Renee Weaver.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Fletcher Funeral & Cremation Services, 254 E. Main St., Westminster.

Prayer services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment, with military honors, will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
