Ronald Lane Tucker, 66, of Westminster, formerly of Catonsville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, June 24, 2013, at home.

Born Sept. 18, 1946, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Monroe and Edith Faulkner Tucker. He was the husband of Deborah Elizabeth Gehrmann Tucker, his wife of 47 years.

He was a graduate of Catonsville High School and earned an associate degree, graduating magna cum laude from Baltimore County Community College in paralegal services.

He was a retired Baltimore County police officer and currently worked for the Department of Social Services for the State of Maryland. He was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sports activities. He also enjoyed camping and traveling; and was an avid New Orleans Saints fan.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are children and spouses David L. and Jeanne Tucker, of Eldersburg, Robert L. and Carmen Tucker, of Westminster, and Christine L. Tucker-Testa and Ronald Testa, of Sarasota, Fla.; and grandchildren Nathan, Zachary, Kayla, Kody and Andrew Tucker, and Gianna Testa.

He was predeceased by a brother, Franklin "Mickey" Tucker.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Marty Kuchma officiating. Interment will be in Loudon Park Cemetery.
