Rose Marie Rhoten, 83, of Manchester, formerly of Hampstead, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013, at Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster.

Born July 22, 1930, in Hampstead, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Rose Shaffer Ruby. She was the wife of Milton E. Rhoten, who died July 30, 1992.

She had been a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Hampstead and the Mason-Dixon Steam Society.

Surviving are sons Bruce Rhoten and Dennis Rhoten, both of Manchester, and Kenneth Rhoten, of Parkton; brothers Ralph Ruby, of Hampstead, and Richard Ruby, of Waldorf; grandchildren Bryan Ruby, Kenneth Rhoten, Jr., Jeannie Rhoten, Bruce Rhoten Jr. and Luther Wike; and several great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Ruby; a brother, Dave Ruby; and a daughter, Ann Carver.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Eline Funeral Home, 934 S. Main St., Hampstead.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. George Tuttle officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
