Rose Marie Potter, 94, of Taylorsville, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at her home. Rose was born on November 22, 1922 in Baltimore, and was the daughter of the late John and Rose (Kohler) Middlecoff. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis Earnest Potter, her husband of 72 years, and who predeceased her on July 26, 2015. Rose was a graduate of Catonsville High School in 1939, and a graduate of Towson State Teachers College where she earned a Bachelor degree in teaching in 1943. Rose taught for 3 years in Baltimore County and 5 years in Camden County, NJ. She was also a homemaker. Rose was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Surviving her are daughters Mary Louise Weller of Kingston Beach, Tasmania, Australia, Barbara Lee Baldwin of Taneytown, Rose Marie Nelson of Mt. Holly, NJ, and Carol Christine Parker of Taylorsville; 12 grandchildren; 9 great granddaughters; 10 great grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother John Wm. Middlecoff and sister Mary Elizabeth Dorsey. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, 3200 Ridge Rd., Westminster, with Pastor Tim Leaman officiating. The family will receive friends at the church before the service, beginning at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Finksburg. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alpha Pregnancy Center, Carroll Hospice, or Calvary Baptist Church.
