Ruth Ann Martin, 79, of Manchester, MD passed away on August 11, 2017. Born on March 19, 1938 in Millers, MD she was the daughter of the late Russell and Mae (Loats) McGee and the beloved wife of Robert Lee Martin. Ruth drove School Bus 314 for the ARC of Carroll County for 41 years. She was the cook for The Mason Dixon Steam Club and The Blacksmith's Guild of Central Maryland. Ruth was a "farm girl" and enjoyed collecting cows and baking. Her family remembers her as a caring person who always put other people's needs before her own. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Ruth is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years, Robert Lee Martin; two daughters: Linda Elliott, Bonnie Schanberger and husband George; two sons, Robert A. Martin and wife Patti, Russell W. Martin and wife Kimberly; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. A gathering of family & friends will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm followed by a celebration of her life at 12:00pm at Eline Funeral Home - 934 S. Main St., Hampstead MD with Pastor Andy Vineberg officiating.
