Ruth Louise Hare, 102, of Westminster, died Thursday October 9, 2014 at Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster. Born April 5, 1912 in Hampstead, she was a daughter of the late B. Edwin and Nettie Virginia McComas Martin. She was the wife of the late LeRoy Milton Hare, who died in 1994. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church, Hampstead where she belonged to United Methodist Women. She enjoyed quilting, knitting and gardening. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth B. and Jean Hare of Upperco; daughters and son-in-law, Gloria J. Baer of Westminster and Shirley L. and Marlin Masemore of Parkton; brothers, Donald Martin and Amos Martin, both of Hampstead; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers, Paul and Silas Martin and sister, Holise Hale. The family will receive friends Monday October 13 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Eline Funeral Home, 934 South Main Street, Hampstead. Friends may also call on Tuesday October 14 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church, 18217 Falls Road, Hampstead, with the Rev. Dr. Jarrett Wicklein officiating. Interment will be in Forest Ridge Cemetery, Upperco.
