Ruth Lee Lynch, 93, of Sanford, Fla., formerly of Westminster, died Monday, April 1, 2013, at The Guardian Home.

Born March 7, 1920, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late Clyde S. and Bernadette Martin Kuhns. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Lynch Jr.

She was one of 12 graduates in the 1937 class at Catholic Girls Central and a member of the Western Maryland Catholic Schools Association. She was also a member of "The Five Sisters," an association of Catholic girls from five area schools.

She liked to read, listen to music and sing her favorite song "Anytime." She also enjoyed baking, especially her homemade cakes, pies and peanut butter fudge.

Surviving are daughters Carol A. and husband Mark H. Franz, of Westminster, and Deborah J. Lynch and Kathryn L. Lynch, both of Longwood, Fla.; sons Michael J. Lynch, of Bangkok, Thailand, and David P. and wife Sandra J. Lynch, of Littlestown, Pa.; a brother, Clyde S. Kuhns Jr., of Edgewater, Fla.; grandchildren Brian D. Cooke, Christopher S. Lynch  and wife Amy, R. Nicole Lynch, James E. Johnson III and wife Ashanti, and Samantha K. Dionne and husband Gregory; great-grandchildren Brendan D. Cooke, Josiah, J.P., Aidan X., Lucca G., Sienna J. and Blaise C. Lynch, James E. IV and Amirah M. Johnson, and Emma C. Dionne; and a nephew, Richard M. Kuhns Jr.

She was predeceased by a brother, Richard M. Kuhns.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held noon Saturday at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster, with Monsignor James Farmer officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Memorial Park in Eldersburg.
